PMID: 25091951 - 1 consanguinous family w/ cone rod dystrophy. 3/5 het carriers also presented with congenital cataracts. Variant was a canonical splice

PMID: 19409519: 4 unrelated families with hom PTC or splice (-8 splice proven functionally to also result in a PTC). Extensive pedigrees show strong segregation.
- Adam9 knock-out mice have progressive cone and rod degeneration, and an abnormal gap between POS and RPE
