Description
This panel was originally designed for the Melbourne Genomics Congenital Deafness Flagship. With special thanks to Rachel Burt and Lilian Downie. It contains genes that cause isolated deafness, as well as genes that cause deafness as part of syndromic and other multi-system disorders.

The panel incorporates the ClinGen Hearing Loss gene-validity assessments with thanks to Lilian Downie, and the Royal Melbourne Hospital Hearing Loss panel with thanks to Bryony Thompson. It has been compared with the Genomics England PanelApp 'Hearing Loss (non-syndromic)' panel, and all discordant gene classifications have been reviewed and resolved, with reciprocal reviews provided to Genomics England, January 2020.
