Mode of inheritance
BIALLELIC, autosomal or pseudoautosomal

Phenotypes
Nijmegen breakage syndrome, MIM# 251260

David Amor (Murdoch Children's Research Institute)

Red List (low evidence)

Gene-disease association: strong. Nijmegen breakage syndrome is an autosomal recessive chromosomal instability syndrome characterized by microcephaly, growth retardation, immunodeficiency, and predisposition to cancer.

Severity: moderate to severe

Age of onset: congenital

Non-molecular confirmatory testing: yes, cytogenetics, inversions and translocations involving chromosomes 7 and 14 are observed in PHA-stimulated lymphocytes in 10%-50% of metaphases.

Treatment: Rx-genes says hematopoietic stem cell transplantation (HSCT) - bone marrow transplant; however GeneReviews states that this is only for first remission after haematological malignancy. I am classifying as red for this reason
